Studio Still Open For Now...

Dear Hot Spot Yogis,
As you may know, the governors of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut have issued executive orders closing all gyms, casinos, and movie theaters; and all gatherings of 50 or more people are banned.
I have called the Ulster County Executive office, and the New York Governor's office, to see if yoga studios are included under the "gym" category.  No one at this point was able to confirm that that is the case.  I am assuming that more detailed information is on the way.  County Executive Pat Ryan will be holding a conference call for Ulster County small business owners tomorrow--at which point that question may be answered.

I want to keep the studio available for all of you for as long as I can, but we will have to follow the recommendations of the tri-state governors and the Ulster County Health Department in order to keep each other safe.

So, 6:00 p.m. class tonight is ON, and classes tomorrow are tentatively ON.  We may just have to take it day-by-day; and I will look into offering virtual classes via Zoom or some similar format.  If the studio closes, class packages will of course be frozen.
Please remember to stay home if you are sick, wash your hands frequently, and take care of each other as best you can.  In this climate of "social distancing", we need to make an extra effort not to emotionally distance ourselves from each other while we are keeping our physical distance.  Don't forget about those in your life who may benefit from a phone call, a text, or an email to let them know you are there for them.

much love,
Steph
